MOVIE NEWS: Luke Matheny's Short Film "God Of Love" Wins An Oscar

One of our Graduate students at NYU won an Oscar last night! Yes, an Oscar. That's pretty nuts. Luke Matheny's short film "God Of Love" won the Oscar for Best Short Film, Live Action.

I've only met the guy once, but it seems it couldn't have happened to a nicer person. Congratulations to Luke.

Check out his excellent romantic comedy short "God Of Love" on iTunes now for only $3.

That's Cool

So about a week ago I left my job at NYU-SCPS to take a job at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.

Today I rode the elevator with Spike Lee.

In three years I've gone from a dead end job in a record store to a full time staff position at the best film school in the country.

Not bad for a kid who never went to college.
