The Otherside Cafe. Boston, MA - January 2011. |
So it's been nearly a year since I adopted a gluten free lifestyle and short of a few "glutaminations," I've been feeling much better. My girlfriend has been awesome right from the beginning, she's helped me navigate through the world of sub-par gluten free products with homemade gluten free cooking that's better than dining out any day. I'm a lucky dude to have her and her support.
Along the way, she started documenting our gluten free adventures and more importantly her gluten free cooking skills on a blog called
GFMF. Some of our more sly readers out there might figure out the true meaning behind the acronym but the worksafe version refers to
Gluten Free Made Friendly.
A couple of weeks ago we made a trip up to Boston for an extended weekend. My annual St. Patties trip to Boston with the boys is a mess of drunken debauchery. This trip however was more low key, kind of a gluten free test run for the St. Patties trip. Go check out
GFMF for Steph's profile of The Otherside Cafe, a gluten free friendly cafe/bar featuring gluten free beer and food. I'll definitely be heading back there in March.
