PHOTOS: THE BOUNCING SOULS | HFTH6 12/26/13 | THE STONE PONY

The Bouncing Souls held their sixth annual Home For The Holidays concerts at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park and there was no shortage of holiday fun. What started as simple holiday shows six years ago has evolved into an all out multi-day festival with events throughout Asbury. This year Hurricane Sandy was on everyone's minds and a portion of all proceeds went towards relief for those effected.

For some reason my DSLR has bad luck at Bouncing Soul shows. Last show, it got kicked to pieces in the pit and this show decided to do some weird freeze up business so I had to fall back on my Leica D'Lux 6 point & shoot for most of these shots. That little camera is a wonder.

HFTH is pretty much the only Xmas tradition I keep, it's always good times with good people!

Check out a few more photos here...

NEWS: ALL PRINT SALE PROFITS BENEFIT HURRICANE SANDY RELIEF

I am a product of the Jersey Shore. When she was a teenager, my mom packed 15 highschool girlfriends in a rented little one bedroom cottage every summer. As kids my sister and I would swim in the waves of Island Beach State Park until you get that sore feeling in your chest after being in the water too long, and in my twenties an hour and a half drive south for a Midway Cheesesteak seemed like a perfectly reasonable endeavor. Asbury Park formed the person I would come to be.

In effort to help in a small way, I'm donating all profits from any print purchase to Hurrican Sandy Relief. Let's help restore the shore. Rise up friends.

SHOP HERE: 8x12 prints are now $20 will ALL PROFITS going to Hurricane Sandy Relief. Thru 12/7/12.

NEWS: Asbury Park Postcard Series - Back In Stock @ Asbury Galleria

Things have been quiet round these parts lately. I've been working on some long term projects that have been occupying most of my time and will hopefully see the light of day fairly soon.

In the meantime, I just dropped off a new supply of Asbury Park postcards at the Asbury Galleria in the Convention Hall Grand Arcade. You can now find all eight original postcards in stock. Asbury Galleria also now has a small stock of my Complete Collection postcard packs featuring an unreleased postcard. So get 'em while you can!

PHOTOS: TIM BARRY | ASBURY LANES 4/13/12

Last week, Asbury Lanes played host to Tim Barry's record release show for his fantastic new album "40 Miler." Infused with a relaxed confidence both in delivery and composition, "40 Miler" is forty minutes of lean, plainspoken storytelling and a definitive milestone in Barry's solo career . With "Driver Pull," Barry may have written his most beautiful song yet. If ever there was a "train" song to make Johnny Cash proud, this is it.

New songs fell easily into the evening's set of selections from Barry's earlier solo work. The ranting "Fine Foods Market" provided a hilarious moment when almost on queue a "a hipster with ironic mustache" joined in onstage to play some tambourine. Barry took it in stride and helped the kid find his rhythm throughout the song.

Barry's side man/resident picker Josh Small and harp player Andrew Ali have been joined by vocalist/guitarist Julie Karr, who also opened the show with a great acoustic set.

Pick up Tim Barry's new record "40 Miler" now available at Chunksaah Records. And be sure to check out an upcoming show, because truth is if you haven't seen Tim Barry live, you're only getting half the picture.
